I need help on a 1979 zx that won't start. I have 40# fuel pressure (checked after changing fuel filter). I have spark (my hands sting tingling), I have compression and it's in time, I think. I checked to see if #1 piston was on top when distributor was on #1 plug. I also checked to make sure the injectors had juice to them with a test light. Everything seems to check out, but when I crank it over it just won't start. I keep thinking it has to be fuel related, but I'm at a loss as to what to do next. Any help would be appreciated.

 

try putting some starter fluid in it. that may just give it the go it needs to turn over. have you recently disasembled the block?

 

when i first bought mine it was in a box for 3 years and the connector being bad at the distributor was a small fish to me,try inspecting the connecters,i had to replace mine with female speaker spades and used the factory wheather boot. it's worth a shot.

 

I had the same problem with the connector to the distributer. Once I replaced that it was perfect.

 

if you have a bad connection at the block temp sensor(or it's bad)
it won't start either. i had this problem on mine.
