Walbro on 280zx turbo?

Hey guys. I have a 1982 280zx turbo that I am beginning to modify, and one of the things I have always done first with turbo cars is up the fuel. I have an Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator from another car I plan to use, and then I have the Walbro fuel pump from it as well. However, I have heard that the 280zx has an external fuel pump, so how would I use the walbro on this car, seeing as how the Walbro is designed to be intank?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance...

cant....different designs last time i checked...you should be thankfull for an inline fuel pump though they are easy to replace....the intake has a whole assembly and what not, unless you make the 280 an in tank design and complicate things for yourself, then your gonna need a custom fuel pump assembly and then eliminate the inline pump....dont ask me how you can get that done

Dude... you're so smart! There's a couple guys that have done Z32TT in tank pump swaps for the 280zx... tho I don't know how (or why) they did it....

k, so going through the trouble to do the walbro is really pointless? I noticed a diff on my other cars, but if you guys are saying that it isn't making a diff at this point then I'll just install the fpr and call it good...

whats the flow rate on the stock turbo pump anyways? That, combined with how much boost you plan to run will tell you if you even need to upgrade the pump.
