hey what sends a signal to the oil temp gauge? The gauge in my 82 (turbo) wasn't measuring anything, so I checked my manuals and couldn't find anything about it?

 

you mean oil pressure gauge?

if its stock ZXt gauges you have an oil pressure, water temp, volts, and a boost gauge

The oil temp sensor is in the oil pan by the drain plug.

good news for me iv been wanting to instal an oil temp in the 240Zt

 

These are still available right? I just checked msa and it wasn't even listed on the site or catalog.

 

Some places have them for sale. I know Nissan / MSA / BDA all have them on back order, but I was able to grab this one from Napa. I also bought another on ebay when I thought they weren't being produced anymore. You have to remove the oil temp sensor from the threaded part & insert the new sensor into it.
