Nice find!!! The pump is in front of the gas tank on the passenger side. I don't have the link, but search and download the factory service manual, it will help a bunch!!

Download the Factory Service Manual for your car here, it'ls your best friend

http://www.xenons130.com/reference.htm

I also suggest ordering a Haynes manual for the car if you can spare $20

The FSM tells you how to do it but in case you were just going to disconnect the fuel line.... disconnect the fuel pump while the car is running to depresurize the system....

Sounds like there's no gas in the tank.

Keep it simple... is the fuel pump getting power or not?

My seats are safely in the "nasty" category too. I'm always looking for seats that will fit. I know hondas (civic/del sol) are usually a good bet, along with 90s miatas, but those you got look decent. Did you have to drill much?
