Fuel Sending Unit screen/filter

Has anyone changed this?? Has it made a difference when you did??

I havn't, but when you buy a new pump don't they come with the screen, or am I thinking of somthing els. I know on my jeep it did.

No, this is actually in the tank on the end of the pick up tube...

Carl, unless you got a lot of sediment or anything else floating around in your tank, the screen shouldn't be blocked up. If your Fuel pressure is reading normal then chances are you're alright. Now if the pump was straining away and you weren't getting any pressure then I would suspect a blocked pickup.

Yea thats the screen I was thinking about, but the pump is located inside my tank on the jeep. THis is not a jeep forum so this dose not matter.

Personal i have tooking out my fuel sending unit and mine was cloged so i used some CLR calicum lime an rust and a soft brissle tooth brush and a little water and she cleaned right up be very careful the screen is very thin..
