Fuel Sending Unit

I need one lol... I asked there at work how much it would be, and they told me 175 + 8 for O ring... $183.. anyone know if these can be repaired??? Or if i can purchase one somewhere where they wont brutally F*** Me???

i googled online all day at work and when i got home, I couldnt find anything.

I have 3 or 4 used ones but none will work right. From what I have seen posted there's a new design ( or newer) that is used in place of the OEM sending unit. I wouldn't waste your time buying a 25 year old sending until. Get a brand new one.

Yea, Ive heard about that! i actually found where they sell it, its on courtesyparts, and it does look very modern. but Im short on cash right now lol. so im trying an experiment i found on the web, apparently some dude Cleaned the Unit and used a pencil eraser to take off any corrosion on the unit. i completely leaned it out and im going to test it, if it works then Props to that guy

That generally works great. For a couple months. Then it craps out again.

Nissan redesigned it for a reason. So if you don't mind redoing it again in a couple months, go for it. Just be aware you'll probably have to do it again shortly.
