I havent backed out of anything yet, but $2k is chump change around these parts of cali when the average car you race is a ferrari or porsche.

To really get the most from a stock L28E You really will have to look into head work or find yourself a P90 engine head. Port your intake or get a performance one. Id say get a descent set of headers as well. Along with a bigger TB and Bigger AFM. The stock EFI is OK and can be tuned slightly with the installation of Variable resistors and a Air/Fuel Gauge.

Well, the original question here was ""What would your list of specific (brands/websites) bang:buck performance parts be if you were on a budget of $200/mo and what order would you do these in?"
There is no mention whatsoever of any particular brand, engine, or otherwise, so it's bang/buck, wide open, unless the op wants to declare otherwise.
To the many that have made made the ASSumption that involves a l28, I disagree. I've said just about all I feel any need to, this place is full of folks that really think l28's or chevy's are the end of the world, I don't think so.
I laid mine out, 902$ so far, been drivin it for 3 yrs, not done, not gonna be done for awhile either. I figure another 6~700 oughta bring it up to about at least 750hp. But in view of the brainless bs I've seen here, I may put it off a little more. Think I may wanna double that. Either way, it's none of yer business. I think I'm gonna leave you guys to go on about this or that on a l28, indefinitely.

Mind explaining where your assumption that I use the same name all the time came from, and why? Believe me, if I cared about you seeing what you are, you wouldn't be seeing it.
