Exclamation The Turbo Swap....Ticking People Off Since 2003

If this question EVER gets asked again it should mean instant banishment. I just spent a great deal of time (not that I had anything better to do at 2 am ) searching through the site for every thread I could find on this topic (that contained somewhat relevant information. ENJOY

And TRUST ME, it HAS BEEN ASKED ALREADY
This list is by the original thread titles. Amazing how many times the SAME title was used isn't it???

n/a - turbo help
N/A to turbo conversion
Turbo/NA engine swap - San Diego
ZX N/A to Turbo swap?
turbo charging a non turbo 280zx?
79 not turbo/turbo swap??
79 280zx turbocharging
turbo a non turbo 280zx
Motor Swap Q and A
need turbo help
Turbo
what do i need for turbo setup?
turbo swap help please
turbo swap
Turbo Sawp Question!!???????
trouble getting turbo swap running.
Turbo'd the N/A
L28et Variations
N/A to turbo conversion
'83 280ZX Turbo Question
turbo advice please
N/A to turbo kits?
l28et swap into a N/a
Turboing a NA
280ZX (NA) to 280ZX Turbo swap Important 280ZX Question...

Thats not even all the threads. It's all the ones that I thought were helpful and didnt have the exact same answers and questions as other threads I already have in the list.

If you dont have enough time to read those threads then you dont have enough time to swap in a turbo engine or turbo your NA and we dont have the time to answer all these questions again

Is someone starts a thread with relevant information pertaining to this issue then link it in this thread. Might as well keep all the info together.

That should pretty much cover it...

Of course, none of those threads tells me anything about my dream of someday swapping an N/A motor INTO a 280ZX Turbo.

Rod.

That would be the first 280ZX Turbo that runs good!

I'm contributing this link to this thread, which is a full-writeup on how someone did the L28ET engine swap in his 280ZX.

No Swap 4 Me !

Who cares about opening up more problems doing a swap. I have a full time job keeping my stock ZX n/a running right.
Y'all already solved more than my share of problems. I love this site!
I just want mine to run good and run ALL THE TIME !!!
I left the swap stuff to my son who has a Miata with a 350 V8 swap, always something to adjust. I like my n/a
just like I remember them when I was a teen.
p.s. I know this has nothing to do with how to swap a turbo, but I had to put in my two cents.

Hope to see some of you at ZFEST tomorrow in Orlando Fl.

Bet those gauges look mighty handsome, and the speedo works too. Thanks for the gauges in one piece.jk Thanks for the analogs, glen. And don't be a poor sport cause you don't have a turbo...

Personally, I spent far more time and money maintaining a newer BMW and Altima than my NA Z. That old L28 was the most worry free and reliable engine I've owned and I drove it over 100K miles over 9 years. My turbo is doing good so far.

I don't have a problem with turbos, if mine had one it would be fine. But it doesn't, so I will settle for a N/A. I dont want one bad enough to swap one out, is what I was saying. Yes Wrecked, the digital does look good. I have to get used to the numbers jumping around on the speedo.
Bleach, mine is not running perfect yet, but it is in restoration status. Once i get it all restored, i feel like it will be pretty dependable. It is just getting it to that point is what seems to drag out...
