z window

to make a long story short im reallly pissed.
the passanger door window for my 76 280z 2+2 broke when my girl got a lil upset kuz the door lock was sticky, slamed it a little to hard and bam shattered. then the door would close or lock/close the actual locks havent worked in a while the other owner said.
so i take the pannel of and find the lock linkage is missing ....duh. a quick take out, degrease and lube up of the locking device and the door stays closed now.
so i spend all day saturday runing throughb this towns junkyards miles and miles of walking and find a few windows that i though would work, but the only 2+2 i found for a 75 the window was already gone.
i pulled sum 7 windows that were close but none would seal, seat or line up right with the track.
two of them i cant get ym money back on because the yards are gay and wont even give in store credit the rest did. so either way im out about $110 so far.

my question is besides a 76 2+2 what other windows can i use, so far it seems none will work or cmose close but leave blank unglased space that air wil just pass though and it rains quite a bit down here, and i dont do trash bags and duck tape.

All S30 2seater windows should be the same... Did the mounts of the ones you bought look different than the orig?

the first few windows i pulled when i put them against the door, they didnt cover the entire area, the ones that covered it better, the tracks didnt line up. sad thing was there was only 2 280's 1 had a cracked window the other didnt have a window. see im well uninformed.
do the s-30's extend to the 240's and 260's?

240z, 260z, 280z = S30. 280zx = S130.

Yeah, but the S30 2+2s have longer doors and from what I can tell, the car looks like it's slightly taller, so I don't think the windows from any of the 2-seaters would match up

ya thats what i was all pissed about i pulled a window from a 77 240 and a 79 260 and i think a 74 280 all didnt cleqar the window by like an inch or less... it woulda left a uncovered gap in the front, by the rear views but on top.
the only 2+2 there a 77 i think had just about everything off it gone.
BUT I DID SCORE WINDOW LOAVERS i juz needa spray em black again and drill sum holes and they came of a 300 but they WILL fit.

Hmmm. According to these guys:
http://www.zparts.com/selectzp/inven...v_1025test.htm
Not only are the 2+2 windows different from the coupe, but they're split into an early and late style as well. Unfortunately, that gives you a very narrow range of vehicles that will work for you. I'd just order it from one of the online used suppliers, rather than deal with the yards.
good luck!
Dave

I've ordered used parts from these folks:
http://www.zcarsource.com/content/p/...5_78_2_2_Right
and been very happy with the parts and the service. Shipping is pretty cheap from AZ to me, so that works well.
The link I mentioned up above in this thread is a good service, too. I got my (used) hood from them a couple of years ago, and the service and price were great. I'm not sure that they currently have your window, but it's probably worth calling them and asking.

There are probably others, but those are the two I know and have used.
