Car jerks while driving
Car jerks while driving
my car had its engine rebuilt last week and was running perfectley until i was an hour later into driving on the freeway my car starts to jerk while i step on the gas peddle. i asked my autotech teacher and he told me it might be the fuel filter that might be clogged so i was wondering if this might be the only thing to change so my car wont jerk anymore. PLEASE help if any of you had this problem and fixed it.
Welcome to ZDriver!
It could be a dirty filter, it could be (and is more likely) a loose, disconnected, or non-functioning sensor (AFM, CHTS, or TPS).
I'd start with those.
EDIT... this is a 280Z right???

Thanks for welcoming me. I saw some cracks on the boot following the AFM and pushed the flap thats inside the AFM and wondered if it was suppose to push back out once i let it go. Also the car runs perfect for a little while after i have turned it on. Finally the car just hesitates only when i accelerate
