280z wont start when cold

i have a 1978 280z i have restored it to working condition. it normally runs great, but it wont start in the cold. once it warms it it starts up first try. should i look at the cold start valve or the temperature sensor?

Welcome to ZDriver!

Yes yes... cold start valve is first on the list. Remove & clean. You can also flip it upside down on the fuel hose and test for spray.

If that doesn't fix the prob, check fuel pressure / fuel pressure regulator, spark plugs, wires, coil, etc. Make sure the plugs are gap'd to the correct spec.

Brake cleaner, a scotch brite pad, and a needle.

Did you remove the valve from the rail / fuel hose to check for fuel?
