whats that sensor

hey guys, i just bought a 75z, it runs but like ****, thats not why im posting this, id like to kno whats the sensor on the top of the intake manifold right after the throttle body, mines corroded to ****, thanks

It's a sensor that measures a certain set of values. Could you be a little less specific?

There's no "sensor" on top of the manifold right behind the throttle body.

There is a cold start valve though...

Might want to buy a Haynes manual or download the FSM for free from XenonS30

does the cold start valve have a pigtail that looks like an injector pigtail that has 4 wires going into it, 2 on each side?

It's an injector style connector, but only has 2 wires... I don't think there are any sensors that have 4 wires except the AFM ...

is there any way to test it before i go and spend 60 bucks on a motor that ima swap out here in a while?

Notice there are only two prongs... so there should only be two wires. I imagine the two each side are connected as one. Been about 10 years since I've looked at n/a wiring in detail.

Anyway... why not clean it up instead of buying a new one? Dip the tip that goes inside the intake in brake cleaner or lacquer thinner, dip the top connector prongs in LimeAway or CLR. Done.

nice tip, my fuel injector pigtail were corroded as well, but i just snatched some good ones from the junk yard, gotta order a fuel pump and pray soldering new injector pigtails and cleaning the cold start valve do the trick
