Early 260z has no spark

I took the z out for a short drive one morning, parked it for about an hour, then started right up, died while the choke was on and now won't start. Tried to start with starting fluid and nothing. Checked all of the normal stuff, cap, rotor,plugs-all good. Found I had no spark at plug or coil. Replaced coil and checked connections, still no spark. Is it possible to check the pick up in the distributor? That's where the TCU gets it signal-right? HELP!

Welcome to ZDriver!

It's probably either the points or condenser. Both should be available at your local parts store for a good price.

Check out the parts in the FSM if you need: XenonS30

Mine has electronic ignition, so just the pick up coil inside the distributor. Not sure how I test that.
