Throwout bearing

Ok, heres the issue.

Got a l28et engine clutch pp but s130 n/a 5 speed.

What throw out bearing and collar do I need to use?

I already have an n/a bearing and collar, fork and an adjustable sleeve, but is this a solid set up or will I run into issues?

Do the collar and bearing have to match the trans?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

the Turbo one of course. You use the T/O bearing that matches the clutch pressure plate.
Coupe Clutch use a Coupe T/O
Turbo/2+2 Clutch use a Turbo/2+2 T/O

Of the clutch, yes. Of the T/O, no. Sorry. But anyways thats what I was told and it seems right to me seeing as the turbo/2+2 clutch is bigger in size.

Forks are the same for 73-83 na. 82-83 Turbo cars have different forks and yokes because of the T5 trans. Actual bearing is the same from 70-89. And yes the clutch and disc are bigger with a heavier flywheel on the turbo and 2+2. Larger flywheel, damper and clutch are for the much heavier cars. You will net more HP with the lighter parts and buy a good clutch.

then the n/a sleeve with the bearing on it should work for the turbo/2+2 clutch flywheel and n/a tranny?

I got bored and looks this up. The bearing itself. all have the same part number from 70 all the way to 89. Seems to be the same for the collar. So It will work for w/e you want to use apparently...

Note to self: Always double check what you read by first confirming its true if possible.

I doubt anything would snap or blow up... more likely is the simple inability to disengage the clutch from the flywheel.

I should have been more specific. The 280 flywheel weighs 10.5kg and the 240 weighs 9.5kg. (2.4 lbs plus the bigger clutch.)
