Spring Question

I am running stock springs (old from 1970) on basically a rebuilt stock suspension that I've loaded with KYB gas struts and a urethane bushing kit. I have 225 x 60 x 14" tires that rub in the rear quite a bit when I hit the right bump and have 2 people in the car. I do not have the tire rub issue when only 1 person is in the car.

Would new springs help with a tire rub issue or are the tires just too big?

The second part of the question is if it is a spring issue, my thought is to go back with OEM springs because lowering the car does not seem to make sense if I'm already rubbing. Regarding OEM springs, I only see the fronts available new through Black Dragon.

Any suggestions and insight would be appreciated.

What are the wheels "rubbing" against? Wheel well? Lip? Springs? Zero offset wheels?

Spring Question

The tires are hitting the lip of the quarter panels.
