Does anybody know anything about this 350Z?

Saw that a couple of years ago. I guess he was doing around 200mph and lost a tire.

 

^^^Yep, going for the ORC record of a 200mph average speed. We were debating trying to break it with my car, but decided to put it off for a while due to so many complications in the process.

That was the Option 350Z and it had all kinds of crazy custom gearing and stuff to get it up to those speeds.

 

was it a tire or the engine? i've heard both...

 

Engine seized up on him. When you lock up anything at those speeds it's not good.
