HELP! Z won't start

All lighting and accessories work but no start. The Z is (barely) out of warranty and stuck in my garage. Did I mention that I am 6000 miles away for the next 11 months and my commander (a.k.a. wife) is stuck with the problem. Anyone have time to help out?

Did she try to start it? If so, did she place the gear shift to neutral and engage the clutch completely (i.e. all the way to the floor)?

Hope that may be the problem. If not, I hope a fellow member will help out as I'm over 6000 miles away as well.

I'll look into the troubleshooting guide for you and maybe it'll shed some light on the situation.

How is Korea?

What's it do when she turns the ignition? Does it turn over, just click, do nothing?

If she's anywhere near Green Valley, I can swing by tomorrow.

Even though the accessories and lights come on, it may not have enough power in the battery to turn the motor over. I would try jumping it anyways. I can try and swing by if you want as well. I am in Aliante now so it shouldn't be too far.

She tried to jump it and no start. She says it sounds like it wants to turn over for a sec and then it clicks. Thanks for the offers everyone, whoever wants to take a look, I think she'll be grateful. Mike is the closest now.

Give her my number and I will take a look at it.

Off Topic:
How is it over where you are? Do you know where you are going afterwards? Coming back to Vegas? Hawaii?

Its getting cold over here, weve already had some snow flurries. Lots of drinking here, I think the Koreans might actually drink more than the Germans! Everyone is a bit tense, but other than that, it's good. Sucks being away. I am headed to Vegas briefly, then off to Hawaii for my next assignment. I almost called VRT yesterday to make the Z faster and handle better, but I am afraid that there isnt much of a support structure in Honolulu for cars like that if there is a problem.

Back on topic: She will call when she gets home in about an hour. Nissan service thinks it may be a bad solenoid in the battery, but I don't know.

Yeah, I wouldn't do the VRT thing if its going to Hawaii. JWT doesn't have an authorized installer there so nobody over there will have even seen the kit.

I will search around and see if I have an extra battery to try that out as well.

Went over there and fixed it. Just a bad battery. It was leaking a little and low on acid. Got a new one and put it in and it fired right up.
