Chts

In the middle of rebuilding my heads my wires for my CHTS broke right at the connector. Now thinking about it its just a thermisitor so i cant really repin them backwards because it would send back the same signal no matter how it is connected. Correct? lol Please and Thanks for the input.

This is my personal preference, but if the connector broke, I would grab another one from the junk yard & spice it in correctly. Nothing like jimmy-rigging a wire & then two years down the road, forgetting if you crossed the wires or not...

it is the same as a fuel injector connector which are available. do a google on it. there is an autozone number posted on one of the forums. you can just eliminate the oval one atop the engine just another failure point might as well do a good solder and heat shrink job. It is there as a maintenance nicety for the dealers but since we work free on our cars get rid of it. sits up there soaking up heat. if not that try z man of washington I'm sure he has them or at least a source.

No, the CHTS connector is slightly different. However, I did modify one to work with the injector clip. Just remove the raised area on the back side of the CHTS. That way it won't prohibit the injector connector from fitting.

Doesn't matter. It's just a variable resistor (temp activated)

How would you replace CHTS with the motor in the engine bay? I believe mine needs a replacing. That animal looks very hard to get too. Especially how am i gonna remove the clip with the back plate of the timing cover in the way?

its a pita but once you get the clip off you can easily hit it from the front with an extension, once you have removed the ac idler pulley and fan. just remeber it is at an angle in there so come from the pass side at an angle on the front bumper
