what are the smog laws in texas like? is it handled through out the state or does it depend on where you live or what?

Both are great sites and not all of Texas is under smog testing, as of yet. I live in Mclennan county and we don't have smog testing just safety inspection. The first site is great for their criteria on what they check for a safety inspection. Are you heading down to Texas, if so what part?

 

some where near the mexico / new mexico border. i am not sure its going to happen but i really dont have much going for me here. i could get another dead end job here and that it, i may do it to pay off some bills get some money saved up and buy some parts for my car (mmm headers) but mostly for the saving up to move someplace else.

so if its just safety check it would be light wipers seat belts and other usuals right?

Ha ha yeah it scared me too when I first saw it on another site, then I made my own and had fun with it.

Yes that plus they do a visual of emission, that's it *visual*, making sure everything is there. With my experience here in the Waco area they just pop open my hood look around and close it. I don't have an EGR valve and no CAT. I've still passed. Just a visual. Hey I passed that's all I care about.
