Whoa, that one is way warped. The wing was sold to the public by Nissan parts department so way more than 1009 were produced. In other words, more zxr spoilers exist than the number of zxr cars produced. - Over time these antique spoilers shrink up, lose plasticity. If not mounted to a hatch the ends bow up like yours. You can really see the bow on the pics of the wing on the hatch. Once they bow up, it very difficult to get it to lay flat again. Its almost impossible to get the front corners down unless you have visible hardware bolting through the top of it. Thats how they get ripped. Push the corners down of a warped one and the thin top edge rips! For a more realistic price- $100 plus shipping?

 

I have bent it more times than I can remember and has not once ripped I have not only test fitted it to other 280zx's but also 280zx's I use to own. In no way is it warped because the person I bought it from had a few more, this was one of the ones I bought. The others he sold are installed and can tell you there just fine. Do you know for sure how many 280zxr's are in existence beside the ones that are registered to keep track of them? As for the spoilers sold from the Nissan competition magazine i doubt anyone knows exactly how many sold to the public.

Realistic price? I paid more than what I'm asking so I'm in no way making anything back, of course you would tell me $100 plus shipping as that is what you would probably pay. Telling me to re-price my item is not only dumb but funny if you don't have the money to pony it up then don't bother with it. I can put a price on MY item as what I see is fit and since I fair person I priced it lower than what I even bought it for thank you very much.

 

Multiple thousands produced and sold, period. Its not the responsibility of the buyer to reimburse you for paying more than its worth when you bought it. Ever wonder why it hasnt sold yet? Hmmmm. The last one I bought was a third of your price, and was removed properly just before shippIng to minimize warpage. It didnt sit for 3 years puckering up. Maybe your test fit was caving in your hatch skin and you didnt notice. I know when you reverse that bow to match the curve of the hatch you will hear the rubber crackle. It may not rip right then, but i know what time and pressure will do. My offer was a real world price based on comparable selling prices. Im wondering where your price came from! Lol! Its just an offer bro, you dont have to take it.

 

Did I ever say I wanted to be reImbursed? Nope, as far as time I'm in no hurry sell somethings will take longer to sell, if I was in a hurry I would have sold it years ago. Do you have a prove to back up your third of a price claim? How dumb do you think I am, now your just assuming things I'm not the one that came in here talking down on the item. Did I ever go to any of your for sale items and do it to you? As far as your offer it was not real just a form of being those type that comment on people's for sale post and bash there price without any real intent to buy. Go look on hybridZ and look up all there for sale history on the 280zxr spoiler sold in the past 3-4 years should not be that hard, but in case you can't find it let me know I'll find It for ya. You will see I didn't just make it up, talk to Tony D he knows what replicas are going for as well as these spoilers.

 

Proof of paypal payment? Yeah, somewhere. I just noticed the spoiler is warped. Observation, not down talking. It has the opposite curve from the hatch. I Dunno Maybe Its my eyes or picture distortion. They are worth what they sell for, not asking price. MSA FG spoilers new arent even that price. The only reason I made the offer is because I have intimate knowledge of the spoiler and mounting it. Its not that I dont have the money. That is what its worth to me. Didnt see any offers...

 

If you believe so then again show me the proof of warpage that's happened in the past with others. I have seen people buy these spoilers in the same way you did other than some that have been sitting in the desert heat for over 25-30 years and still haven't ripped or have had any problem installing them in there 280zx. I'm not talking about those whale tail spoilers I'm talking about the exact replica out of fiberglass. I know a few members that have them over at hybridZ those are going for $500 alone, the authentic ones not much more than that. I've done my years of research even before I ever thought about buying one for myself. I didn't buy it to make money back like a lot of Datsun items I've seen, I bought because I liked how it looked on the 280zx. It was gonna be the last touch on my 280zx after I restored it which then life, kids, & money happened.
