Well I was messing with my S30 today. Looking it over and what not a bit more closely, I'm actually a bit more pleased than I was. The floor pan kinda bothered me, and I took a picture of the underside that looked like it had a hole in the floor that I hadn't noticed.

Anyway the floor had gotten wet and so the carpet was pulled up and the drain plug was pulled. The floor isn't in perfect condition, but it's actually in fairly decent shape. It looked worse from a combination of the brown dried out/wet carpet, surface rust, and the bronze body color. Anyway I took a small screw driver around and was stabbing at various spots all over the floor and nothing punctured! So that's a good sign! I started sanding away and was getting to shiny metal. It is surprising at how thin the metal is that was used on these cars. Anyway I sanded then painted a portion of it with Rust Bullet. Next day or so I'm going to go work on it more.

the 280Z bumpers arent that bad, if done right they can look pretty nice actually, add a bit of an aggressive lengthier look. whatever was on the hatch and that sunroof are FTMFL

I've got it working now. I've been useing Chrome browser. it displayes every thing diff. Firefox works fine with this

She's a Hoss. got out side. started tuning the Z. swaped my oil filled coil for the Z31 solid state. and DAMN. for the first time. the car made it over 4K RPM's. i took it to 6K before i shifted. and alot more power in the lower RPM's as well.

 

i need a FMIC some springs a tuning source (perferably DSM link) finish this tranny swap and yeah.... thats really it. i need i need i need!!!! oh also i blew a 1 inch long gap in one of the heater hoses between the block and heater core. that sucked. all those coolant hoses are soft and old, should just replace them all today, did the upper already since it had a trickle because of how large it expanded over the years, should probably do the lower and the other various hoses, and plug the recirc back up this atmospheric BOV setup i got going on isnt 1G friendly. confuses the MAF between shifts pretty bad. also, i got it as atmospheric dump not my choice, will be though once i get DSM link and a 2G MAF or GM MAF upgrade
