the argument shouldn't be over who has the best knowledge of the car world. it's really about whether the number in your book was correct compared to what the cars actually go for. i'm saying, it's not unheard of for them to go for that, but the same thing could be had for less. oh like say... $5,000. i wonder where i'll find one. oh yeah. that's how much the car in question is going for! because that's how much it's worth!

and you can't even say that it's all original once it's painted. that's basically a cosmetic restoration cause all the seals around the lights are all dry-rotted and they'll replace those, and the windshield seal, and probably some other things, so it's been restored. this car then looses what hope it did have of being sold as a strait up all original car.

zhag, now you are speaking with a pretty rude tone, woman. it is not obvious that i've never seen a good spitfire. you don't ****ing know me. stop using arguments that you can't back up. it makes you look stupid. remember when i said i knew a guy that had one that won a national judged competition? ****ing proof that i've seen a VERY nice one. you don't know. just cause you're smart doesn't mean you know everything. you can read a lot of inaccurate things in books. i am speaking from experience. from a mental data base of deals that i've seen go through, from prices that i've seen on cars at the MANY shows just for these cars that i've been going too. i've gone to about 3 per year for the last 6 years. that's **** load of shows for these cars. including the biggest one on the east coast. you can't just say i don't know cause i'm young, and you read it in a book. damn.

It's weird...it's 11hp more than my 440LTD and like 26 Ft lb of TQ more than my bike but top speed is slower by 7mph...weird. But it looks cool with that 75 degree V-twin

Kas, although you are a nice guy most of the time that partof you is not showing up in your messages. You might want to check yourself and show zhag the respect she deserves.

Oh by the way, as you age you will then tryley know what experiance and wisdom are about - but not until then.

are you just being funny cause you like her? i've been quite nice to her 95% of my posts in this convo. it wasn't until she started calling me "boy" and talking about how my opinion wasn't credible because of my age that i changed my tone to a bit more aggressive one.

this reminds me of my 9th grade teacher. he got mad in class and spouted off about how he is automatically a smarter person because he's had more experience in life over-all (speaking to the whole class). a few weeks later, somehow we got started talking about cars and i corrected something of the mechanical manner that he said. politely of course. well, evidently he remembered that speech about how he was smarter, and after he acknowledged that i was correct, he refused to talk cars with me anymore.

i'm not saying i'm smarter than zhag. i'm saying age isn't everything. i've already given my figure on that in a previous post that she probably skimmed over because she still speaks as if i hadn't said it.
