yeah those filters tend to fall off if you don't make sure they are very tight. i got hand tight and then slight crank with the oil filter wrench.

i thought it was standard to hand tighten them on most cars? i usually get mine almost as tight as i can by hand, and i always need a wrench to get it off.

it is standard, its what i always do, but i just know many instances of the oil filter falling off on these cars, so i do it this way.

i do the same, hand tight then at least 1/4 around with the wrench.

hand tight might be standard, but standard isnt always safe.
