For those of you who download MP3 music, what programs do you use or like? I used to download from WinMX... then they stopped supporting. Now I'm using LimeWire Pro, but lately, when I try to download a popular song, it doesn't download, just brings up a stupid I-Tunes web page that has nothing to do w/ that song. I've heard of torrent programs, but that they are for large software programs only, and not meant for music.

Feel free to post about the good & bad download programs... and we don't need to talk about "piracy."

 

i've used limewire for songs, but have also noticed what you mentioned. torrent sites have full albums, but with a decent torrent client (i use azureus) you can select only certain songs to be downloaded. only problem is that you wont find older or obscure stuff on torrents.

 

I used to use Limewire until it became a pain in the *** to get what I was looking for.....I highly recommend a program called BearShare, it's what I use now, and in my opinion, it beats Limewire. Free to use > http://www.bearshare.com/

if your careful use kazaa, i used to use that now i use that torrent stuff for music videos programs all that stuff... use azereus for that

 

yeah... Kazaa sucks.

 

the only problem w/ it is the viruses... i found all the music i looked for...

 

dont use kazaa. its crap. you will regret it if you use kazaa.

 

if you have to pay for it then it sucks

 

of course its free... poor kids like me cant affords fancy expensive music getter things
