I made a injector thingy today

So I was going to go once again and pay my $20 some bucks to have a couple injectors tested again, and then I had a better idea. I remember reading something about a guy who made his own injector flow testing setup and so I decided to make a crack at it. I went to "U-pick U-save" in gardena and got some injector harness, a FPR, and much needed injector screws but boy did it suck paying for. I dont even think I needed the FPR now that I mention it...dammit...oh well so I made this thing.
I set up a fuel rail, and a fuel pump from a '74 about 4PSI X( but hopefully it'll work...

I'm going to clamp the + end of a jumpstarter from our truck to this metal thing which will automatically start pumping fuel. The white switch will allow current to go to the injectors at 100% duty cycle but only for about 10 seconds

this is the ghettotacular harness all rigged up and the fuel rail

these are shelves that can be set at two different heights

And this is my dog

And that's what the final product looks like

So i'll take a crack at it tomorrow, hopefully I won't blow up too much stuff, tell me what you think. Its so nice to be home...

Don't you want stock fuel pressure?

If the fuel pump is from a carbed engine it wont' be the correct flow. 30psi is about right.

Whats wrong with this picture?

I need help, I tested all my connections with a 9v battery and everything holds out fine, the injectors are hot to the clamp point, and the fuel pump is hot to the clamp point as well. The sparks fly on my jumper cables but when I hooked the + to the jump point and the negative to the wood nothing happened.

What am i missing here? I dont want to short circuit anything so i'm taking the precaution of asking you guys.

That darn wood just doesn't like to conduct electricity. You should try something more effective like METAL.

dang i was gonna suggest using an old computer power supply, AT style with the clicky button bulit into the wiring of the power supply. ATX you need to jump 2 standoffs on the main connector to get it to turn on, not pretty some times....with gas.

but yea AT power supply look up a pin out and you can get a broad spectrum of voltages to 12 volts.
