78 280Z 5 Speed L28 - $1200 obo

I have a 280Z that I was going to get ready for DD status, but time, and common sense took over. I need cash for my other project to get the stupid thing finished. It is what it is, but over all it is a VERY solid project for someone.

The Bad:
Dings in the roof
Busted driver side fender (Have OEM replacement that is straight).
Brakes need to be gone through
Clutch needs to be blead
Suspension needs freshening
No Carpet
Exhaust leaks
Some electrical grimlins - replace the fusible links with Maxi fuses and you will be good to go.
Needs Tires, it has original 14" tires that hold air but are NOT SAFE TO DRIVE ON.

Now that I have told you why you shouldn't buy the car here is why you SHOULD buy the car!

The Good:
50K Documented original Miles
L28
Early 240z SU Carbs
5 Speed (Original and a '78 only option)
A/C needs to be charged and new o-rings
Over all clean car with very little rust, much less then most you will find - there is no such thing as a rust free Z but this one is Awful close!
No Bondo
Straight
Good Glass
CLEAN original interior - sans carpet
Fuel system has been flushed, gas tank acid bath, new fuel pump, new hoses.
All trim is there and in good condition.
I have both early and late bumpers for the car.

This is a VERY solid project with minimal work could turn into a great driver, with a bit more work it could turn into a great looker. I've got $1500 in the car, Asking $1200 obo. I doubt that you will find a better car for the price that actually runs and needs a small amount of work to be drivable.

It does look like a good project to finish. But just wanted to clarify...that the 5 speed was started in the '77 280z. That was the first year of the 5 speeds in the Z cars. Otherwise, good luck with the sale.
