Plugs wont fire!!!!

Mt 91 na zx wont start and I found out its because my plugs arnt firing. 2 days ago after the car had been sitting for about 3 days without me starting it up I went to take her for a spin and it wouldnt start. Finally after trying again and again she came on only to cough and cut off. After goin thro that a few times and revin it up a bit she stayed on. Thou when I drove it I'd give it some gas but the rpm wouldnt go up and nothing would happen then id have to press the petal again. After drivin it around for a while it seemed to back to normal. Then last night I was out and slowing down in neutral the car just died on me.

At first I thought It could be the injectors or some reason it wasnt getting gas. But thats not the case. Its getting gas jus fine but the case is the spark plugs arnt firing. And its not the plugs form what I can see because it looks to me like the coils arnt getting power. I tested the power transistor unit harness connector goin to it and my test light showed no results. And yes I did do all this as someone was trying to start it. So if anyone can please please help me out.. THAT BE GREAT

Check the ecu for fault codes.

Ok did that and it tells me that my Fuel Temp Sensor has a prob. Do you think that could cause my ecu to not send a signal to my plugs so that they wont fire???

Really... when we say to use THIS page ( https://www.zdriver.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8434 ) you prolly should.

and... you'll prolly find info about the FTS here: http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi

I retract what I said in your other post. It doesn't have anything to do with your plugs not firing. I would guess that your plugs are firing. Go ahead and grab one of the plugs and have a friend turn the engine over. You'll know 100% then if the plugs aren't firing. Don't worry....it doesn't hurt too bad....you'll feel it more in your elbow than in your hand.

the alternator has nothing to do with this...unless your battery is dead

try to get an ecu, ptu and/or cas from someone else to try them out. and some coil packs

do this if you havent yet.

Yea I did that already. My ecu is sending no signal to my power transistor for my coils. Checked continuity on like all of the harnesses and everything. Tho I just realized that to make my inspection feel a bit more complete with the continuity testing. Im a go and check the grounds and all the wires that goes to the fuseible link holder. Just to make sure that everything and i mean every wire checks out. Hopefully Ill get a ecu to test out first thing after i do those last few test. And its no that bat. I mean its goin dead after repeatedly trying to start it but Ive been using a power boast so it deff not that. Glad alternator has nothing to do with it. I don no why I thought so Im just trying to cancel out everything. Bet it my ecu thou. Thanks again guys. Open to tips and Ill keep postin on how this goes.

Well sorry I took so long to reply to ma own post but in the end and after checking all the wiring in the ig system it turns out that there was a broken wire coming from the fusible link holder. I'll say this to everyone. Dont be afraid to get dirty and do your own work. Be patient and do it right the first time. All most mechanics wanna do is have you buy this or replace that. Show your ride some love and bond a bit with it.

Thank you for that completely useless piece of advise. Most people on this site do their own work because we don't trust mechanics. If it wasn't like that, then this forum would be a complete waste. It would consist of a bunch of people just telling others to take their car to the dealership to have it fixed.
