Injector replacement - Dremel Method
Has anyone in here used the "Dremel or Grind" method to pop injectors without removing the Intake. I have the tech notes on doing it and I read a bunch of tech notes on TwinTurbo.net but I really do not like their layout and getting through the information bites. Half the post don't seem to contain anything usefull! (However their tech articles are kick ***)
Anyway my question is has anyone used this process and how did they find it. I just wanted a little feedback from someone who has tried it.
Thanks
..Dan

Re: Injector replacement - Dremel Method
I haven't done it personally but have had someone do it for three injectors on my car. I think this may clear some things up.
The Intake plenum covers one of the two bolts holding in the injectors. If you look directly at the injectors you can see one of the bolts easily accessable and the other one is covered. All you do is take the dremel tool and grind a ( shaped grove in the plenum above the covered bolt. My grooves are approx. 1/5in deep, just enough to undo the bolt. Just be sure to clean up all the shavings before you take out the injector.
