half boost??
this is really strange, i will be driving my z one minute and ill have the full 9 psi then the next ill only have like 4 psi
. this sometimes even happens during full boost, it will drop right down to 4 psi. and then the car will become really slow. it could have low boost for a few minutes or a few days, but it always seems to return to the normal 9 psi.could this be "safety boost" and if it may be, what causes it and how in the world can it be fixed??if anyone can shine some light on this subject for me it would be much appriciated
thanks ANDY

Maybe you are stuck in safety boost? That limits boost to about 7psi and retards the timing, and gives a super sluggish feel to a Twin Turbo when it detects an issue through its ECU.
As for the problem, I would have to see the car. But my suggestion is to pull the carpet back on the passenger floor board, remove the wooden kickpanel and then run an ECU diagnostic so you can see what error you are getting if it is something to that extent.
Can you hear any detonation?
Are all your connectors working right?
Do you have a case of some bad gas?
Does the car sound incredibly unhealthy? Is it shaking badly?
Good luck.
