The 5spd Z32 tranny is fine don't waste your money. Buy some intercoolers or some prostitutes instead.

why would u want one more gear to begin with? the early 350 manuals had some flaws i think. keep the z32 tranny hey if not ill give u 400 for it

lol, the Z32 tranny swap is pricey for our cars 260, plus isnt the sx trany a very similare design? so shouldnt it be plenty strong for at least 400hp. thats all i really want i know

My 5 speed on my N/A is crap. I've gone through 2 trannys and 4 clutches. Every time its the same problem. Synchros. I was hoping the 6 speed with a performance clutch would last longer and i would also be able to save a little gas. lol

what do you do to the Z that youve gone through 4 clutches and 2 trannies? im guessing they were used trannies, but as for the clutches, i had mine on for 150k almost before i had to change it, and just changing the fluid fixed my 3rd-4th grinding problem

That means one thing... you're grinding the gears & need to learn how to shift properly.

I know how to drive dont worry. I down shift a little much at high rpms. So my clutch slips a little. So I change em. Now its pretty bad but I'll wait since I am savnig for this swap.

I like to have fun in my car. It's w/e. I would rather pop my clutch than pull my ebrake. Its a smoother turn in my case.

snw no the sx tranny is nothing like the z32 tranny. the sx tranny can hold about 300. the z32 tranny is beefy for the most wicked builds. has a better gearing, the swap a z32 tranny in does not cost as much as u think. actually i know a good friend that has a z32 tranny sitting in his back yard. i just gotta keep it up till finally he gives it to me. then off to a new build on a used tranny i would not pay more then 400 on these trannys.

dont waste your time on this swap. the z32 tranny is stronger than the z33 tranny. and, due to the gearing, you wont save any gas using the 6 speed. you will spend a lot of time and effort to add weight to and subtract reliability from your car.

if synchros are your issue, suck it up and buy this.

best option.

i know they arent the same but i thought they were "supposed" to be based on somewhat similare designs, and i know the Z32 tranny is like a train. only 300??? ahhh man... thats sooo weak. i was thinking a bit more than that. now i want to use a Z32 tranny. got a swap write-up for that one? and i know the adapter plate is supposed to be a pretty penny.

yea u need to send the z32 bellhoushing off to be machined then u have to buy the adapter then u have to cut your transmission tunnel. bolt it on get a custom drive shaft....i have a write up some where....the sx will hold but if u trash it it will give like anything else. im curious to know why u want a BIG bad transmission when ur not even hitting 200?

Did you realize that there's a third way to slow down your car.....it's that pedal in the middle. I don't care how much 'fun' you have with your car or how much you abuse it, but 4 clutches and 2 trannies is a driver problem, not a Nissan tranny problem.

Don't forget by swapping in a TT engine your NA tranny wont work unless you use a flywheel/clutch for an NA engine.
