Vtc springs and lifter questions

First off why are there springs in the cam gears? Can I eliminate them? Next are the lifters, while I was rebuilding them I was pondering solid lifters, can I use shims in them instead of having them hydraulic? it looks possible...

Why do you feel the need to remove the springs?

One less thing to replace, they are noisy... Less parts less problems, just a thought

Yeah! I have always liked rotary anyways...

Back to the topics it seems that the vtc is more like a powervalve on a dirt bike, for more torque... So if removed there would be a wilder power curve but no I'll effects. Am I understanding this correct, PLUS more oil pressure!
