Hey guys i just ordered 2 j30 Mafs and while i was searching i was sure that it fits on the 300zx.. however at the website where i bought them they say it fits the 300zx..
anyway they didnt specify if it is n62.. so i kept on searching and i found out that j30 came equipped with n62 MAFs after 1995.. is that true ??
The donors for the J30 mafs that i bought were both 1994.

Please i need to know if it will work or should i send them an email for a refund..

You'll get better answers to this kind of question on twinturbo.net. Most people won't know the answer, though, because most people aren't dumb enough to look for a J30 MAF when they need a Z32 MAF... they'll just look for a Z32 MAF, because they KNOW that's what they need. (DUH)

I already know the answer and smart*** i don't think a person is considered to be dumb when buying a J30 maf which is the same as the z32 maf..z32 mafs goes for around 150$ and J30 mafs goes around 100$ (mostly because of the name z32).. though they both are the same=> n62 mafs !
The only confusion i had is what years J30s were equipped with the z32 mafs (n62) and now i know.. J30's had E60 mafs different than the z32 only in the year 1997.
So thanks for trying to be a wise man and trying to be cool in front of forum members "people aren't dumb enough to look for a J30 MAF when they need a Z32 MAF" and just to let you know that both are the same n62 mafs.. The only difference is that J30 mafs has an extra pin which in the case of z32 can be ignored. Moreover if you go to any parts store they tell you that both mafs are interchangeable.. a z32 maf will work on a j30 just as a j30 maf works on a z32 due to the fact that they are both the same (n62).

Sam I am sorry you that u feel you got insulted by Zlover4life. He is a cool person and knows a lot about the Z32, he has help me with my dumb questions many times. Some times is the way que ask a question that seems dumb.

Maybe the reason your J30 MAF was so much cheaper is because it is NOT the same as the Z32 MAF.

And talk all the **** you want, Sam... I could post a screen shot of my PM box, which is full of questions from you.

I know zlover4life is a very knowledgeable guy thats why his pm is full of my questions! But im sorry u are not right about this one a 1994 j30 maf is the same as a z32 maf! They are both n62 mafs and the only difference is a j30 maf contains an extra pin(ground) which can b ignored and used on a 300zx with 0 issues!
