New toys for my Z

Pair of 58mm throttle bodies

GT600R Ballbearing Turbos and 5 bolt downpipes

The plenum was dropped off today to get powder coated and will be picked up Friday. Hopefully the work will begin on Saturday.

All that had to cost a pretty penny.

You have by far the cleanest workshop I have ever seen.

Nice... gonna port-match the plenum? Larger throttle bodies won't help much if the plenum entries aren't any larger than stock...

It's only this clean because I'm not a real mechanic. lol. I mainly do small projects at home and leave the major stuffs to my mechanic buddy. Plus, I hate clutter... *shrugs*

For the most part, the boost will be set at 14-16 psi but I also purchased a stage 4 motor from importpartspro.com last year and I wanted turbos that would be a good fit for the motor's potential.

I did port out the opening of the plenum but I couldn't port and polish really deep into it due to the length of my carbide bit.

My buddy suggests extrude honing the plenum. I'm going to have to look into that. Any comments on extrude hone?

NICE! Tis the season aparently, I just orderd some specialty Z down pipes, test pipes, nismo oil cooler, mishimoto radiator, RPS segemented flywheel, and bernie talked me into some 8 piece subframe bushings he had. and also finally got a TT fuel pump for 120 shipped.
*not trying to thread highjack* I jsut think we are both equally excited DropTop

Extrude honing is another one of those things that can't hurt, but has never really been shown to help much. Stillen sells extrude honed plenums, but the people who have them have never commented on (or had evidence to suggest) a real performance increase... however, a smoothed out intake tract can never hurt.

No worries. It's always great to get new toys for our Zs.

It would be nice to see some reference in gains. I imagine the gains would be minimal at best by itself or at least congruent with other modifications. More mods, more gains? Does that sound right?
