me again! - EGR Sensor

Hey, its me again! was it me, or was this website gone for a long time! anyways. i read about the Z and the websites you gave me, i it informed me, but like yall said, there are still so many things it could be! But i did read something about EGR on the hesitation article. And i was looking under the hood, and the EGR sensor was completely unplugged just dangling! whoever had this car did not take car of it! Anyways, im wondering 1) Why it was unplugged? and 2) does that sensor affect the performance of the car, or does it just inform you if there is something wrong with the EGR valve. Also, i cant find where the hell it plugs into!!! i went up to the Nissan dealership, got advice, and photos, and diagrams of the EGR parts and system, but i still cant find it, really frustrating with it being farely system. i feel as stupid as the last guy who owned it. anyways, advice is GREATLY appreciated! thanks

There's the egr solenoid that actuates the egr valve thru a vaccum line. If the egr valve or the vaccum line is bad, an easy quick fix would be to disconnect the solenoid. Doing this tho, will eventually cause other problems with your o2 sensors and cats

Someone will be around soon to tell you about getting to the egr valve itself. Actually if you do a search here, you'll find the info.
