Hi all I have been having issues with my 1990 300zx 2 seater 5 speed non turbo not starting. It started out as just dieing at idle unless I gave it gas then it would stay alive. I get it to a friends to change out a known bad fuel Injector and afterwards it doesn't start. It tried at first and then makes a shudder noise like if a wench was stuck in the Gears an then it stops. After that Initial start the car won't try to turn over. I received a code 11 and I can see the timing belt as I removed the driver side cover it appears to be tight and not broken. I checked under the passenger side cover and didnt see anything either. I replaced the cas and checked it. When I turn the car on acc I turn the cas and I hear what sounds like the fan but the fan blades aren't moving??!! And then I hear the clicks from the injectors. So what the f could this be? I had just replaced all the plugs and coil packs and ohms tested them. Checked spark on the plugs prior to install and when I pulled the bad injector before hand I forgot a few steps and there was deffinetly fuel pressure because it sprayed me right in the eye lol. So any ideas guys? Please help I am lost for words. Is there anything else that will spark a code 11 other than a cas and a broken timing belt?!

 

check to be sure you didn't leave anything disconnected. Was your friend a reliable mechanic?

 

I did the work, it was only a bad fuel injector. Before hand it was dying at idle. Once the fuel inj was put in it wouldnt start. I then pulled a code 11.
I relocated the ptu aswell. Before that so I'm wondering if this could be abad wire somewhere. If I turn the cas sme type of ventilaton sound comes in and the injectors tick. That would indicate a working cas wouldn't it? Can I buy a cas wiring harness somewhere or is it all part of the main harness.
