The A/C runs perfect in my car the only problem is that is stuck on defrost even when I manually change it to another setting.

The only thing wrong with the car it has a small vacuume leak don't know if that has some thing to do with it but it does make the car RPM go to 2 RPM.

 

Don't know the Z32 that well - but the vacuum leak could be your problem. I would start there and definitely fix the leak, whether you have to replace a hose or two or repair it some other way. Let's see what our Z32 pros say...
