ticking comming from clutch...

there seems to be a fairly noticable tick when the clutch is out, but when there is the slightest pressure on the pedal it goes away..its pretty weird, any suggestions?

i was thinking throw out bearing.. carefull with those throw out bearings... if they fail it can be catastrophic. my buddies failed... shattered and destroyed his whole clutch/flywheel assembly... than again... it was in a B18c4 (GSR motor) in a civic
