Replaced MAF, still issue
My 84 DATSUN 300ZXT was giving me problems after cranking, when I read to disconnect MAF and if it Idles correct ,that is my issue. So sure enough I disconnected and it cranked and idled just fine. So I took one off my 85 that had been running fine (before I blew it up) installed and it acts the same' Will not stay running unless disconnected. Sometimes when it warms up completely I can reconnect it and all is well for small test drives. Do I have 2 bad MAF's? I cleaned them very good with correct cleaner. All stock parts throughout car. Is there something else that I should check? Although I've done all my own work on my babies but I'm not very good at electrical issues. please help if you have experienced this, I miss my baby.

1. I would check your fuel pressure to make sure it is correct.
2. I would check to make sure all your intake boots, are in good shape bolted up and all those little ancillary hoses that go every where are in good shape to and from the turbo.
3. If all that is good, I would add an additional ground wire to the MAF itself. Grounds can go bad.
