Maf: 84 300zx n/a

I just picked up a 84 300zx, great shape but does not want to rev passed 2200 rpm is there anyway to disconnect the maf without any consequenses, or possibly just intake? i dont know. PLZ let me know ideas

Yep, disconnecting it will make it run even worse, or not at all. Time to find a junk yard or ebay or something.
