Motor is Running off of Starter fluid but not Gas
I have a 1987 300zx nonturbo and im having problems trying to get it to run. The car will run off of starter fluid and I have good fuel pressure coming off the filter but i guess fuel is not making it to the cylinder somehow. I didn't know if it could be a bad fuel pressure regulator or what. Thank you in advance for any advice.
Welcome to ZDriver!
If it starts with starting fluid, you have spark, no fuel delivery. If you have truly verified that you do have a constant proper fuel pressure (~30psi, doesn't drop), then your fuel pump is working and the fuel injectors aren't spraying. There can only be a few reasons why:
-Toasted fusible links
-Disconnected wires to fuel injectors
-Toasted ecu
Check them.
