Help with 1986 M/T turbo: Loss of dash, starting/cranking over

Hey everyone, brand new to the forums and to the Z world !

I have a 1986 300zx M/T turbo with starting issues: Was cleaning up the corrosion on the digital dash computer underneath the steering column. After replacing everything for the digital dash, I got back into it to start it up. I didn't have power to anything on the interior(minus the clock, dome light, door lights), but my headlights would pop up and also worked. The fuel pump doesn't engage, no power windows, radio or dash. When I attempted to jump it, I bumped whatever the bolts are next to the battery, where it had a wire connected to the positive post(not sure what that is?) with the positive jumper and the engine wanted to turn over on it's own, not sure what that was. I tried to Google this one, but there wasn't much I came up with outside of the security system locking me out. I pulled the fuse by the driver's side feet and the two under the hood, but it didn't help. Has anyone come across this, or have any insight?
