So this may have been found by someone else ages ago but I'm so excited I can't stand it. I searched and didn't find any info so here goes!!! My '84 300zx Turbo digital dash was broken got a new power supply didn't fix it, so I figured hey I'll open up the dash and see what I can find. Well low and behold!! Dumb luck lead us to a broken capacitor!!!! Located directly above the pigtail leading from the dash to the power supply. It's a black Round plastic coated ceramic disc. Should have ANZR K220 -53- on it in that order top to bottom. It was split right down the middle through the plastic coating. So today I went to our local large chain distributor of digital goods, (said as such to not promote a single company) and pick up a new capacitor. It has to be rated 22 pekaferret or .022 megaferret and at least 50DCV. I took it home and installed it into the board, took the assembly back down to my shop and installed it into my car to check and see if it would work. After a moment or two of uncertainty lights began to appear on the dash, more and more began to appear! Now they all work I couldn't be happier and more proud of dumb luck in the middle of the night. Just thought I'd share my new found info with the forum!

a ferret is a weasel that weird people keep as pets. You were probably trying to say picofarads which is a unit of capacitance named after michael farraday who discovered a bunch of stuff about electrical things.
