is it before or after the turbo because if it's before then yes but if it's after it shoudln't other than the disruption of air flow and back pressure and such.

Its right side manifold where it connects to the engine the gasket is worn its a really bad leak an yes its before the turbo would a leak prevent from buildin any boost cause my aftermarket boost gauge wont go
Over zero an it has no leaks on the intercooler system just replace the wastegate actuator the turbo has zeso shaft play an all the vaccum lines are brand new also the maf sensor is new an i still can produce boost it feels so slow

are you at stock boost levels? because there is a certin amount of boost loss and what kind of I/C are you running FMIC or SMIC?

change out the gasket that should be the problem remember the turbo runs off of exhaust gasses and if the exhaust leaks then it may not be boosting properly. have you ever checked out the wastegate on the turbo before it releases exhaust from the turbo to slow the turbine down thus not allowing boost to build past a certain point and thats what seems is happening to you right now. change the gasket and then report back.

That sounds right to me too, you are venting gases, esp when the RPM's under load get up there.

Good luck getting the manifold off there on the side of the motor. Just keep in mind if you know what you are going you can pull the engine with the transmission in a few hours. Plus if you do that you can fix or replace anything that needs to be done. Also in most cases it's recommended to change both gaskets at the same time.

If just one stud breaks even if it's the last one while re-torquing it you are going to wish you'd just pulled it.

Be sure to use the multilayer aluminum gaskets they sell, you won't have an exhaust leak again!

Autozone, pepboys..etc The torque specs are tight enough so it seals, but not tight enough that the stud breaks.
