Turbo charger rebuild shop / hybrid / upgrade

Answer

There is a turbo rebuilder in New Jersey that does all sorts of performance upgrades for Garrett, Borg Warner, Mitsubishi MHI turbos.

I had a few Z-cars in my time from the old school 84' 300ZX turbo with the Garrett TB03, and the later model 91' 300zx TT with the TB025 turbo(s).

Scroll Products rebuilt my TB03 they also gave me the option to upgrade the thrust bearing to a 360 degree performance thrust kit. The turbo looked new, I installed the turbo and drove the car for 2 years no issues, my buddy owns the car now all is well.

On the 300ZX TT the turbos were not efficient for the aggressive boost I was running and finding good HKS turbos are not easy. Once again I contacted Sean at Scroll Products. He had me ship the set in for a rebuild and compressor wheel upgrade. They upgraded the compressor wheel(s) from a 52mm to the larger 56mm cold wheel. Total overhaul and compressor upgrade, balance tested both units less than $1200.

There are not many turbo shops on the east coast, finding one that does nice upgrade work is not easy.

The reply with good information wasn't. Well.... Except that it's his first post and looks more like he's advertising his own shop. Then again, if he really were the shop owner, then he'd know that the early Z31s had T3 and T25 turbos while the Z32s have T22 hybrid turbos (not sure where TB03 or TB025 came from). Prices also sound a big high to me. There are plenty of threads/posts about different turbo rebuilders charging under $500 for an upgraded T3 to T3/T4 turbo. But that's just my opinion.
