e-fan install

I'm getting a 16" e-fan with a wire connector attached what do I absolutely need to install it in my Z31 ... I took out the A/C ... I see all these wiring kits costing from $20 to $100 and I don't know which I need ... do I need a 30amp relay?, a thermo-switch?, a probe? ... can I get by with wiring it to a 12v source, a ground, and wiring in a switch in the cabin? or do I need more? ... can I wire it up to where the a/c helper fan connector is? ... any help would be cool

get a 20amp relay, and wire it to turn on when you turn the ignition on.

Indeed... just hard wire in a relay w/ ignition source. Make sure you get a high flow fan. I bought a 2100cfm fan & thought it would pull plenty... nope, not near enough. It actually burnt up on my Cali trip. I'm going to upgrade to a 3k+ cfm fan.

if you want to play it safe, a 30amp will work just as good.

Most if not all fans tell you how many amps they pull. Like this one:

Amp draw 12-15.

So it depends on the fan you get.

the coolest part about this fan is the amp draw is only 8.5 which is the lowest 16" fan amp draw I've seen most are between 10-15
