Wire/Connector ID

Anyone know what this wire is for? It was tied up behind the left side of the front bumper. As far as I can tell everything works, so I'm wondering if it's unused from the factory. The wires are black (ground) and white with a red stripe. Car is an '86 N/A GL.

markers and turn signals

looking at the marker light diagram, not too many 2 wire plugs. Can you tell me the colors, looks like one is solid black, the other I cannot make out.

One wire is black, and the other is white with a red stripe.

Head lamp washer motor

Most likely it is for the headlamp washer, which is an option you don't have. EL 199 shows the engine bay wiring harness, it is a round profile plug like you showed, on connectors, its very helpful to get a picture looking into the connector, showing the pin out side and plug interface shape, since the diagrams usually have a 3d view and a mechanical schematic view. I haven't verified color yet, as I haven't found it on the wiring diagram, which is way fun to peruse.

Black wire & Gray wire with a red stripe is the washer motor, colors could have faded a bit, about 95% sure on this one !

Thanks! That looks like it. I tried looking at the schematic, but not knowing what system to look at made it a bit difficult.
