Vacuum leak???

I'm not sure if its a vacuum leak But not for sure. But let me tell you whats happening. when I drive and turbo kicks in and go to shift the RPMS stay and dont go down. at all. takes about 3 or 4 seconds for it to start going down. this is all while the clutch is held in. But when i free rev at a stop it'll do it too. I checked cable its not sticking. and i asked a friend who's owned many turbo cars. and he says check vacuums. does this sound right guys??? @_@ thanks alot for any input

probably all that fancy idle junk hanging off the driver side of the plenum. take it all off throw in trash block the hole with a plate and rerun your vac hoses. haven't had a problem since I did that and you get rid of that ugly three or four pipe unit going across the front of the engine. rerun the hoses to the carbon canister under the air filter and then back to where they go now.

does your car idle high? I experienced this exact same situation where the rpms would stick, it turned out that my TPS was wired up wrong... so maybe your TPS is no good anymore? or the wires are hooked up wrong? manual cars have 2 wires, the top connector and the middle connector, the bottom is left blank.

you have a plenum be it aftermarket or no. plenum refers to a duct with high pressure which is what you get when you turbo charge. what do you have under the aluminum plate that says 300zx atop the engine. probably your plenum unless someone totally repiped everything in the air supply system for your engine. look at where all the hoses go and u will see what I mean about removal. I'd post a pic but can't do that anymore. if you have anything like the stock idle setup that is your problem.
