I had a good today...sorta. After five long months of my 86T sitting in the garage, I finally got her engine running with a decent idle. Then I discover other things wrong but most importantly I discovered that my trranny has no reverse. I can put it in "R" and its like I put in "Neutral" or "Park". She works fine in "Drive". No Reverse. That sux so my question is there a way to fix it without rebuilding the whole tranny? Also, if I do have to rebuild it where can I find the kit and how much is it? Thanx

 

Have you checked the ATF color & level?

 

Yeah I did and it was real dark red. The dipstick indicted it had too much ATF after it was warm. Before I got the car it sat for almost a year, so I have already changed all the other fluids. I know dark red ATF is not a good thing but could it not have reverse because of the ATF?
