Tranny Rebuild

Lo Z-riders,

Does anyone have experience rebuilding manual transmissions?
or a good link to one?

I've messed with just about everything else on my car but
the transmission...

Any info would be much appreciated!

you need to get a service manual, the section on trany overhaul is great!

I have a service manual and it is informative.
But it would be great if there was a write-up on it.

I see great articles on everything else...O, well.

Most ppl aren't brave enough to tackle a tranny. Transmissions don't seem to be as staight forward a repair or rebuild as other parts of the car. Of course once you do it one time.... Of course I've heard veteran mechanics wave off tranny jobs like a vampire does garlic so what does that tell you.
