Yeah, you ****ed something up and now it won't get one of the three basic essentials for a car to run.

Please dont crank your motor anymore.. (like it matters) .. the all "VG" motors are Interference motors.. which means the valves can and will hit the Piston if it skips a beat or snaps... I would say check all your sensors and fuel pump to see if they are working.. if they are...Remove your heads and check your cylinders and valves for damage, if there is none, ECU replacement is in order...

again, If your sensors are connected and working and if your fuel pump is sending the correct PSI of fuel.. and if Your heads are not damaged, then its the ECU. I also forgot to mention to Check your vacuum hoses.

if it ran before you changed belts then the ecu is fine but you screwed the pooch big time on the timing belt (probably). or you pulled a wire loose that you didn't notice during the dissasembly/assembly process.

I'd start by verifying the timing marks to make sure the installation is correct. If it is, start checking for spark, fuel, and air.

Still not right

Ok well I ripped it back apart and redid it all an now it starts and runs. But when I took it for a test ride it wouldn't pull at all. It was like as soon as the turbo starts to whistle it starts bogging out with the more gas I apply. I would guess boost leak somewhere?

Well since I stopped getting help here I tried taking it to a local foreign car shop and they refuse to take it? Yea kinda weird to me being that they are supposed to specialize in cars like that

My Nissan dealership will not touch any z31s I was picking up some parts and I saw this guy with his z31 and asked him about it and said they wouldn't look at his window motor, and I got the same kind of response about my dashboard (before I got it fixed). That's some stuff there......

But back to the OP, I'd be looking at the dizzy with a timing light gun thing (the name of it escapes me). Does it idle fine? What happens if you rev it up in neutral?

Thanks for the replys. Yea idk why no one will work on it but it's whatever. And I just fixed it today. The timing was pretty far back. I actually just got done my test run and it runs the same as when I bought it if not better. But it did idle fine just lower than before but it would idle at 1000 before and is about 650 which is stock anyway. It also would rev fine with crappy throttle response.

I still have the starting problem tho... I have that on another forum if anyone knows anything about it. I already replaced relays clutch inhib switch and checked starter and no change an also is worse when either motor is hot or it is hot outside

You put it back together wrong. Plain and simple.

Take it back apart and figure out where you screwed up.
